De Euromast, ss Rotterdam, Spido, Pannenkoekenboot, Splashtours en Diergaarde Blijdorp zijn geopend. De meeste musea hebben ook hun deuren weer opengesteld. Belangrijk is dat u vooraf tickets reserveert. Ons team kan u daarbij helpen! Graag wijzen wij u er op dat gereserveerde entreebewijzen nooit kunnen worden geretourneerd. Ze moeten altijd worden afgerekend.
Gastrobar STER in Pincoffs
Vergeet ook niet onze in-room privé-diners. Die zijn een beleving op zich. Elke dag verzorgen we deze diners in samenwerking met Gastrobar STER. Een super ontspannen culinaire avond.
Op 13 en 14 november halen we (opnieuw) de (Michelin)sterren van Parkheuvel in huis. Dit event is een bijzondere ervaring. We hebben van onze kamers en suites mini-restaurants gemaakt, met elk hun eigen sfeer. Het 3 of 4 gangendiner wordt bereid en geserveerd door de teams van restaurant Parkheuvel dat is onderscheiden met twee Michelinsterren.

Musea, monumenten & galeries
Musea en monumenten mogen vanaf 1 juni open als bezoekers vooraf kaartjes digitaal kopen of reserveren en een checkgesprek voeren. Het maximale aantal bezoekers is gebouwafhankelijk. Er moet 1,5 meter afstand worden gehouden. Voor centra voor de kunsten (galeries) geldt een maximumaantal van 30 personen per gebouw, die 1,5 meter afstand moeten houden.

Bioscopen, filmhuizen, theaters en concertzalen mogen open onder voorwaarden: een maximum van 30 mensen in het publiek, bezoekers moeten vooraf reserveren, een checkgesprek vooraf om te bepalen of een bezoek risico’s oplevert én iedereen houdt 1,5 meter afstand tot elkaar. Openbaar vervoer
Vanaf 1 juni gaan treinen, trams, bussen en metro’s weer rijden volgens de normale dienstregeling, met een maximale bezetting van 40 procent. Omdat het dan waarschijnlijk drukker wordt in het openbaar vervoer, is het lastiger om 1,5 meter afstand te houden. Daarom is iedereen vanaf 13 jaar per 1 juni verplicht in het openbaar vervoer niet-medische mondkapjes te dragen. Dit geldt niet voor stations, haltes en perrons. Iedereen houdt hier 1,5 meter afstand tot anderen. Het ov is alleen bedoeld voor noodzakelijke reizen! Lees hier meer informatie over reizen naar Rotterdam en binnen Rotterdam.
Tot 1 juni rijdt er minder openbaar vervoer, zoals de treinen van de NS. Ook de RET in Rotterdam heeft de dienstregeling voor de tram, bus en metro aangepast. Daarnaast worden in de bus en tram geen vervoersbewijzen meer verkocht. Je bent zelf verantwoordelijk voor een geldig vervoersbewijs en het in- en uitchecken tijdens de reis.
Bezoekersinformatie
De locaties van Rotterdam Tourist Information aan de Coolsingel en in de centrale hal van Rotterdam Centraal zijn vanaf 15 mei van woensdag t/m zondag van 10.00 tot 17.00 uur geopend. Hoek van Holland opent vrijdag 22 mei weer. De openingstijden verschillen per week. Kijk hier voor de juiste openingstijden.

Step by step
Due to the coronavirus everyone in The Netherlands has to keep a minimum distance of 1,5 meters to one another – unless they belong to the same family – and avoid busy places. Supermarkets and most shops are open (again). Restaurants and bars, museums, theaters or public meeting places such as galleries and attractions are closed until June 1. If the virus remains under control, the following will be possible as of 1 June:
- cafés and restaurants may reopen outdoor seating areas as long as people can stay 1.5 metres apart;
- cinemas, restaurants, cafés and cultural institutions (such as concert venues and theatres) will reopen, subject to certain conditions:
– a maximum of 30 people (excluding staff). People must be able to stay 1.5 metres apart;
– visitors must reserve beforehand;
– the owner will discuss with customers beforehand whether their visit entails risks; - museums and heritage sites will reopen. Visitors must buy tickets beforehand, to ensure people can stay 1.5 metres apart.

Our suggestion for August: Drive thru museum
Our suggestion for August is the drive-thru museum that Ahoy created in collaboration with museum Boijmans van Beuningen. This spectacular initiative, conceived by Ted Noten, is an example of creative collaboration in the 1.5 meter era. We think it’s a real Rotterdam-style idea that is well worth a visit.
What awaits you?
You drive an electric mini that is waiting for you there, or with your own electric car through the museum (watch the video) of no less than 10,000m2. Here are 50 works to admire.
What is there to see?
In addition to some world-famous works from the Boijmans Van Beuningen collection, the exhibition also shows installations by contemporary artists that make Rotterdam an art city and make us reflect on how people relate to their natural environment. Boijmans Ahoy drive-thru museum brings together work by Ted Noten, Oskar Kokoschka, Bas Jan Ader, Melanie Smith, Paul McCarthy, Bruce Nauman, Ugo Rondinone, Cyprien Gaillard, Joep van Lieshout, Wieki Somers, Jim Shaw and installations by Bas Princen, Trenton Doyle Hancock, Anselm Kiefer, Olaf Nicolai and Marijke van Warmerdam.

Don’t drive, but want to experience art in the drive-thru museum?
You have a view of the spectacle through a special audience stand in the hall. The hall is minimally lit and shone by the headlights of the cars driving through it at a walking pace. You will discover a number of masterpieces from the Boijmans collection via the headlights. With the promenade ticket you have access to the public gallery and the Transit, the outside area of the drive-thru with the test track for the cars and restaurants with a terrace.

General info: Rotterdam public transport
The measures taken to combat the coronavirus are also leading to fewer travellers on public transport. That is why public transport companies have adjusted their timetables until 1 June. Take into account that departure times have changed and that transport will run less often. These changes will be comparable to weekend/holiday schedules. The RET has also adjusted the timetable for the tram, bus and metro. Tickets are no longer sold on the bus or tram. You are responsible for a valid ticket and checking in and out during the trip.
Since public transport will probably become busier around 1 June, it will be more difficult to stay 1.5 metres apart. That is why everyone travelling on public transport will be required to wear a non-medical face mask.
Visitor’s information
Rotterdam Tourist Information Coolsingel (in the garden of the Schielandshuis), Central Station and giftshop Love Rotterdam are open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 to 17 hours. Hoek van Holland will open at Friday 22 May. The giftshop at Rotterdam Central Station is open.
